The CERVO Foundation and the CERVO Research Centre leadership are proud to announce the very first IMAGE CONTEST for the creation of the CERVO Calendar!
This calendar will be printed in large quantities to be offered (free) to visitors, donors, collaborators and members of CERVO. It will become an annual showcase for research initiatives in line with the Centre's mission, while also playing an educational role in neuroscience and mental health.
The calendar will promote all areas of research performed at CERVO over the years. The credits for each image will be clearly indicated in the calendar, and your images will be perpetuated on a page of the CERVO website.
What to submit
One or two images per CERVO member (student, post-doc, research professional or researcher), accompanied by a caption (in French and English) of about fifty words explaining what is shown for a general audience, indicating the link between the image and mental health research.
PNG or TIFF formats. The calendar will be printed in size 8.5 x 11" (21.6 x 28 cm). Resolution at 300 DPI minimum (i.e. 2550 x 3300 pixels minimum). Landscape format is preferable.

Deadline: August 31, 2023.

Evaluation criteria
Images will be selected by a multidisciplinary committee of researchers, Foundation and Centre staff, students and research professionals. The committee will try to cover as many fields as possible, while paying particular attention to the quality of the images and their interest, whether scientific, artistic, promotional, strategic or emotional.
Prizes
A prize of $300 will be awarded for the winning images. A prize of $150 will be awarded to the runner-up.
