Le Soleil and Radio-Canada named Dr. Charles Morin personality of the week in recognition of the importance of his research on sleep disorders over the last 30 years.  This nomination also recognizes a prize Dr. Morin received a few weeks ago, the Distinguished Scientist Award of the Sleep Research Society, which places him amongst the best sleep researchers in the world.

With this prize, the Sleep Research Society highlighted Dr. Morin's contributions to systematize psychosocial and behavioural treatments of common sleep disorders.

Dr. Morin has contributed to the development, the validation and the testing of non-drug treatments of insomnia, and now aims to distribute the knowledge he has acquired to clinics and patients around the world.

"Today, the Center for Studies on Sleep Disorders  studies non-drug approaches with psychology and behavioural changes.  It is the person who takes charge, and modifies his or her habits to have a more regular sleep schedule.  " says Dr Morin about the approach his team favors.
