The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) annonced a grant worth 940 832 $ from the Canada Public Health Agency for a project aiming to support new parents that were exposed to traumatic events during their childhood. Under the scientific and clinical direction of Nicolas Berthelot, professor at UQTR and associate researcher at the Cervo research centre, and of Roxanne Lemieux, professor at UQTR, the project Soutenir la transition et l’engagement dans la parentalité chez les adultes ayant vécu de mauvais traitements au cours de leur enfance (STEP) will take place over five years.
