The PCN-CERVO is a platform of expertise in neuronal cultures which offers researchers from the CERVO Centre and Laval University various primary cultures from the nervous system of rats and mice. The Platform produces very high quality neuronal and non-neuronal cultures in a reproducible manner, thanks to the protocols very well established over the last 20 years as well as the quality controls carried out continuously. The PCN also prepares several cell lines according to the requests of the research teams. The centralization of the production of primary cultures and cell lines at PCN-CERVO aims to help research teams to use cultures i) without having to obtain / maintain the necessary infrastructure or ii) to develop cultivation protocols, while iii) saving production costs. In addition, the centralization of primary cultures meets the objective of reducing the number of animals used by each laboratory. Several products and services are already available (see this link). We also offer personalized service for more specific needs, so don't hesitate to contact us if you can't find what you're looking for in the list or to discuss a particular project.
