Yves DE KONINCK, Professor at ULaval’s Faculty of Medicine and Director of the CERVO Research Center, talks to us about DecodePain, a Franco-Canadian research project launched in January 2025 that he co-directs with Marc LANDRY, University Professor at the University of Bordeaux, within the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases (CNRS/University of Bordeaux).
The DecodePain International Research Project (IRP) aims to better understand the links between cellular mechanisms and behaviors in order to develop a common platform dedicated to the identification and validation of therapeutic targets for chronic pain and mood disorders, which present high rates of comorbidity.
Researchers Marie-Ève Paquet and Benoit Gosselin from the CERVO research center, Marc Landry and Pascal Fossat from the Université de Bordeaux and Ipek Yalcin from the Université de Strasbourgh are also participating in the project.
