About us
The most intriguing question for this research group is to know how the brain works. We believe that the brain works using primarily electrical communications between neurons.
The main directions of our studies:
- Neuronal activities within thalamocortical system during sleeping and waking states
- Sleep oscillations and plasticity
- Synaptic transmission and gating of information in thalamocortical system
- Neuronal mechanisms of seizure generation
- Trauma-induced epileptogenesis (processes that make brain epileptic)
