The CERVO Foundation and Research Centre is launching the fourth edition of the PICTURE COMPETITION for the creation of the CERVO Calendar!
This calendar will be printed in large quantities to be offered free of charge to visitors, donors, collaborators and CERVO members. It has become an annual showcase for research initiatives in line with the Centre’s mission, while playing an educational role on neuroscience and mental health.
This calendar will serve to promote the Centre’s areas of research over the years. The credits for each image will be clearly indicated in the calendar, and your images will be perpetuated on a page of the CERVO website.
What to submit
One or two images per CERVO member (student, post-doc, research professional or researcher), accompanied by a caption (in French and English) of about 50 words explaining what is shown for a general audience (without technical details), emphasizing the link between the image and mental health research.
PNG or TIFF formats. The calendar will be printed in size 8.5 x 11″ (21.6 x 28 cm). Resolution at 300 DPI minimum (i.e. 2550 x 3300 pixels minimum). Landscape format is preferable.

Please note that in addition to possibly being included in the 2027 calendar, your images could also be published on the websites of CERVO or the CERVO Foundation, or in any other publication to promote the Centre or the Foundation.
Evaluation criteria
The images will be selected by a multidisciplinary committee comprising researchers, Foundation and Centre staff, photo experts, students and research professionals. The committee will try to cover as many fields as possible, while paying particular attention to the quality of the images, whether they are of scientific, artistic, promotional, strategic or emotional interest.
Prizes
A prize of $300 will be awarded for the winning images. A prize of $150 will be awarded to the runner-up. Be bold enough to make your mark in the annual collection of the CERVO calendar. Will you be making the month of May or the month of October 2027?
